The process takes around 3-5 working days from the moment you sign the documents. Getting VAT status doesn't happen instantly after company registration. If you submit the registration application within 10 days before the start of a new month, you can become a VAT payer from the first day of the following month. However, if the application is submitted later, like on the 22nd or after, you'll have to wait until the first day of the next month to apply through the electronic system.

With the initial registration, you simply tick a box in the application. But for subsequent months, when applying electronically, you need an electronic digital signature since paper applications are no longer accepted.
