Only a scanned copy (photo is possible) of the passport and registration number of the taxpayer's registration card (RNOKPP, aka TIN, aka identification code). And you will also need to fill out our short questionnaire (for a few questions, such as where and what kind of activity you will carry out).

Key Considerations for Individual Entrepreneurs
- Unlike in a Limited Liability Company (LLC) where participants are only liable for their investments, individual entrepreneurs are personally responsible for all their assets, making the risks involved much greater
- Unlike with an LLC or other legal entities where you can sell your share or simply withdraw, individual entrepreneurship cannot be sold or transferred to someone else. They cannot just disappear or walk away from their responsibilities.
If you are unsure whether individual entrepreneurship is suitable for your business activities, it is advisable to consult with a lawyer first. Individual entrepreneurship is not suitable for every type of business. This particularly applies to specific licensed industries, such as veterinary services. While a veterinarian can operate as an individual entrepreneur and obtain a license, they must also hold a relevant diploma in veterinary education and a certificate of qualification enhancement (if more than 5 years have passed since graduation). If an individual does not meet these criteria, they cannot operate as an individual entrepreneur and must establish a company (a legal entity) instead. The same applies to financial activities, where it is necessary to establish a specific type of legal entity with a minimum required charter capital.
Can a foreigner register as an individual entrepreneur in Ukraine?
Yes, it is possible. However, they need to obtain a tax identification number in Ukraine. We can also assist with this process, but it is a separate service.
Is it possible to register as an individual entrepreneur without obtaining a tax identification number?
Yes, it is possible, but only for Ukrainian citizens. In such cases, the passport series and number will serve as the taxpayer identification number.
How should individuals who have relocated due to the war register as individual entrepreneurs?
They need to register as internally displaced persons, and their registration as an individual entrepreneur will be based on the address indicated in that certificate.
